Within in three days after a senior TRS leader Ramesh Rathod from Adilabad district joined Congress, another senior leader KS Ratnam from Ranga Reddy district announced joining Congress soon.
He is expecting ticket from Chevella assembly constituency. Disappointed over not announcing his name in the list of 105 candidates by KCR recently, Ratnam decided to switch loyalties to Congress and test the waters in the forthcoming Telangana assembly elections. Ratnam is one of the senior most Congress leaders in Reddy dominated Rangareddy district before joining TRS. He was one of the close associates of YS Rajashekhara Reddy.
Ramesh Rathod was the strong leader in tribal-dominated Adilabad. He was former MP and also MLA from TDP. He joined TRS in 2016 after KCR made the promise of providing a plum post.
Some more TRS leaders from Nalgonda, Khammam, Nizamabad and Karimnagar made up their mind to quit KCR party for not giving them party tickets to contest elections.
